About Me

I am a NYC-based UX designer and front end web developer with three years of work experience in a fields revolving around UX, design, and development. I am an avid learner and am always honing a skill or picking up a new one. I love understanding people, their behaviors, and their motivations. This lets me design simple, intuitive, and innovative solutions that are tailored perfectly to its users, ensuring an amazing and enjoyable experience.

Work Experience

I am a UX Designer and Art Director at Morgan Stanley. I ideate, design, and prototype new features for the company website and select the images for the weekly articles and thought leadership pieces we publish.

I typically use Sketch and InVision to design but also occasionally use front end code such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for various work projects. To date, my work has been featured throughout the company building, its website, and the signage in Times Square.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Communication and in Linguistics, as well as minoring in Consumer Psychology. I also have a MSc. in Management with a concentration in Digital Business from Imperial College Business School in London.

Beyond this, I've taken outside courses and bootcamps, and I'm always learning on my own, building my own websites and designing my own projects, and sometimes writing about it on Medium.

How I work

I draw upon varied realms of knowledge from psychology to systems thinking in order to fully understand the user to design elegant, technologically-appropriate experiences.

I am highly organized and love structuring information. This makes me very suited to roles in information architecture or high level design of product eco-systems. Moreover, this skill in organization translates well to project management and planning.

Hobbies & Interests

Aside from work, I have a variety of interests and hobbies, mostly revolving around experiencing new things in the world. Related to my interest in design, I love seeing and enjoying beautiful things, either natural or manmade. In particular I enjoy learning and experiencing different cultures, whether it be through food, performance, or language.

Flamenco Guitar

I enjoy Flamenco for its passionate chords and furious rasgeos. I started learning guitar as a New Year's Resolution in 2015, and I've been learning Flamenco ever since. Check out the songs I'm learning on my Soundcloud.

Reading & Writing

I read a lot of non-fiction, as well as the occasional novel. I've written on Quora, but now write longer pieces on topics such as personal development and design. Read some of my articles on my Medium or check out what I'm reading on my Goodreads.

I've always been interested in visual media such as photography and videography. While I no longer routinely make videos, I still take many photos which you can find on my Instagram or on 500px.
